Meeting Louise Hay
Since my late twenties, it has been my mission to study the works of many great modern day spiritual teachers. There were a few that really struck a cord with me. Their words left me with the desire to learn more, to go deeper, to find that balance between theory and reality. To name a few, Eckert Tolle, Sonja Choquette, Ram Dass, Wayne Dyer, Brian Tracy, and Deepak Chopra. Only one has stayed with me year after year; Louise Hay.
In May of 2011, I attended a three day writers workshop in San Diego. Hay House was the sponsor. I learned a great deal about building a platform and marketing myself. We did exercises on reaching deep inside ourselves to let go of our fears and write in a disciplined, purposeful manner to get our work out into the world. What a wonderful experience. The knowledge was invaluable yet the best prize was the people I met.
Hay House publishing came into my life when I received as a gift, a handbook published on finding the mental causes of your physical ailments. The entire theory seemed plausible to me. Having been intimately close to mental illness about 15 years by then, it all made perfect sense to me. I devoured the book. So Louise Hay was a genius in my mind. Before the honor of shaking her hand, I sensed an energy of love around her. She her projected such an aura of peace about her.
Please check out her book on www.HayHouse.com It is called Heal Your Body.
P.S. Even better, I met my friend Suzanne Livingston, who has become one of the greatest gifts in a friend that I have ever experienced. She is incredibly gifted her self and extremely complex on a deeply spiritual level. She is the topic for another day.
